[Joomla Tip] How to disable Joomla Update notification emails?
So you're reading this means you're also irritated by lots of update notification emails from your Joomla website? :)
We also feel it a bit irritating but to be honest, it's a good thing that reminds you to update your website and make it more secure. Updates are very much necessary to keep your website stable and secure.
But we also understand that it irritates sometime when it sends dozens of emails and especially when you are managing lots of Joomla websites.
So how to disable Joomla Update Notification Emails?
It's actually a very simple to disable these notifications. Follow below simple steps and you will be happy.
- Login to admin panel of your Joomla website.
- Go to Extensions -> Manage -> Manage
- It will display a list of all extensions installed on your website.
- Search for "System - Joomla! Update Notification" and it will end up displaying a single plugin
- Disable this plugin and it will stop sending you Joomla update notifications. Refer below image if there is any doubt.
